ASSEMBLY
SPEED SELECT LEVER ASSEMBLY
1. Cutplastictie(A,Figure7) securing speedselectlever a ssembly (B)
to theshifterbracket ( C).
2. Remove Iocknut ( A, Figure8),washer (B),spring(C),andbolt (D).
NOTE: Viewis fromright sideof unit standing in operator's p osition.
3. Positionspeed selectorleverassembly as shownin Figure9.
4. Reinstall b olt(D, Figure8), spring(C),washer (B)and Iocknut ( A).
5. TightenIocknutuntil1/8 to 3/16 inchof theboltthreadsprotrude past
the Iocknut.
6. Thread the3/8-16" hexjamnut(E) ontothelever(F) untilthenut
reaches t heendof thethread.
7. Thread the plasticknob(G)asfaras possible andensure thattheknob
pointsforward.
8. Tighten the3/8-16" hexjamnutagainsttheknobsecurely.
9. Moveshifterthroughall speeds to ensure propertensionofthespring.
If shifterleversticksin anyof thenotches, l oosenIocknut 1 /2 turnata
time untilshifterlevermovesmorefreely.
