Turning
on the Power
if you turn on the power switch

<ON>
: The camera turns on.
<OFF>
: The camera is turned offand
does not operate. Set to this
position when not using the
camera.
About
the Automatic
Self-Cleaning
Sensor
_ Whenever you set the power switch to <ON> or <OFF>, the sensor
cleaning will be executed automatically.
During the sensor cleaning,
the LCD monitor will display < ;c:_>. Even during the sensor
cleaning, you can still shoot by pressing the shutter button halfway
(p.40) to stop the sensor cleaning and take a picture.
_ If you repeatedly turn the power switch <0N>/<0FF>
at a short
interval, the <;c_ > icon might not be displayed. This is normal and
not a problem.
About Auto Power Off
_ To save battery power, the camera turns off automatically after about
30 seconds of non-operation.
To turn on the camera again, just
press the shutter button halfway (p.40).
_ You can change the auto power-off time with [_'" Auto power off]
(p.167).
