6 COMMUNICATIONS SETUP
BIOS Setup
Once you have the Workstation installed and the peripheral devices connected,
you are ready to power up the computer.
Consult the PCA1623 Embedded Processor Board Manual, part number MAN-
P1623-001 to set up your Industrial Workstation's BIOS.
COM2 Serial Port Setup
The default setting is RS-232. For RS-422 or RS-485 communications, install
the JP2 jumpesr as shown below. For more information, see the PCA1623
Embedded Process Board Manual, part number MAN-P1623-001.

Plug the Power cable into the Power plug and the Power source.
Ensure that the Power Voltage Selector Switch is set for the correct
power source being supplied.

Press the POWER ON push button located on the rear panel of the
computer (as described on page 18).
