Cleaning and replacing the air fi lter
Please check and clean the air fi lter periodically. When the indicators or a message
prompts you to clean the air fi lter, comply with it as soon as possible. Replace the air fi lter
when it is damaged or heavily soiled. To prepare a new air fi lter, make contact with your
dealer and tell the air fi lter type number.
Type number : NJ26302
When you replace the lamp, please replace the air fi lter. An air
fi lter of specifi ed type will come together with a replacement
lamp for this projector.
1.
Turn the projector off, and unplug the power cord. Allow the
projector to suffi ciently cool down.
2.
Use a vacuum cleaner on and around the fi lter cover.
3.
While supporting the projector with one hand, use your
other hand to pull the fi lter cover forward in the direction of
the arrow.
4.
Use a vacuum cleaner for the fi lter vent of the projector
and the outer side of the fi lter unit.
5.
Take the fi lter out pulling the fi lter's knob up while holding
the fi lter cover.
6.
Use a vacuum cleaner on both sides of the fi lter. If the
fi lter is damaged or heavily soiled, replace it with the new
one.
7.
Put the fi lter back into the fi lter cover.
8.
Put the fi lter unit back into the projector.
9.
Turn the projector on and reset the fi lter time using the
FILTER TIME item in the EASY MENU.

Use only the air fi lter of the specifi ed type. Do not use the projector without the
air fi lter or the fi lter cover. It could result in a fi re or malfunction to the projector.
Clean the air fi lter periodically. If the air fi lter becomes clogged by dust or the like,
internal temperatures rise and could cause a fi re, a burn or malfunction to the projector.
NOTE • Please reset the fi lter time only when you have cleaned or replaced
the air fi lter, for a suitable indication about the air fi lter.
• The projector may display the message such as "CHECK THE AIR FLOW" or
turn off the projector, to prevent the internal heat level rising.
