5. Remove the retainer bracket from the failing diskette drive and install it on the new diskette drive.
6. Slide the new diskette drive into the drive bay until it snaps into position.
7. Connect the signal and power cables to the drive.
8. Go to "Completing the FRU replacement" on page 117.

Replacing the rear fan assembly

This procedure describes how to remove and replace the system fan.
1. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the cover" on page 93.
2. Note the routing of the rear fan cable to the system board. Disconnect the rear fan cable from the system
fan connector on the system board. See "System board connectors" on page 92.
3. The fan assembly is mounted with four rubber mounts that protrude through the rear of the chassis.
Remove the fan assembly by pulling the rubber mounts back through the chassis.
