SONAR Mode

To enter SONAR mode: Hold down the AUX 4 button while powering on the unit. SONAR mode is confirmed on the LCD display when the
ProjectMix I/O has initialized.
Setup: With the ProjectMix I/O in SONAR mode, launch the application on your computer and choose Control Surfaces from the Options
menu. Click the "Add New Control Surface" icon and select Mackie Control from the list. Select "ProjectMix Control Surface MIDI" for the Input
and Output ports, then click Okay. The ProjectMix I/O faders will snap to position and the ProjectMix I/O will now control SONAR.
Many of SONAR's functions consist of multiple pages of editing parameters. To select between parameter editing pages, repeatedly press the
button on the Project Mix I/O that is assigned to the function you're working on (we list all the button assignments below).
NOTE: In most cases where there are multiple-page parameter controls specific to SONAR, we have documented the full range of editing
parameters (such as the FX Send and EQ parameters). However, many virtual Instruments and plug-ins can contain up to 50 pages of
parameters or more; this, combined with the sheer number of plug-ins and virtual instruments available, makes it beyond the scope of this
manual to document them all. We have therefore focused on the control aspects specific to SONAR itself.
In addition, we have not included in this section control functions that are covered elsewhere in this manual, such as Channel Faders, Mute,
Solo, Select, Record and Transport buttons. These controls operate in SONAR the same way as described earlier in the section about Pro
Tools mode.
