CONNECTIONS HEADPHONE JACK (PHONES) POWER CONNECTION Connect the power co rd to AC outlet onl y. This unit will accept stereo headphones (not included) with a 3.5mm plug and an impedance SPEAKER JACKS of 16 ohms or g reater. Connect the SPEAKER PLUGS to the SPEAKER JACKS located on the rear of the unit.
SENSOR WINDOW OF THE RECEIVER Note: Even if the remote control unit is operated within the effective range, remote control operation may be impossible if there are any obstacles between the unit and the remote control. If the remote control unit is operated near other appliances which generate infrared rays, or if other remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the unit, it may operate incorrectly.
BEFORE CONNECTION Caution Turn off the power of all the equipment before making connections. Read instructions of each component you intend to use with this unit. • Be sure to insert each plug securely. To prevent hum and noise, do not bundle the mains lead with speaker leads or other leads.
CASSETTE OPERATION Playing A Cassette Be sure to tighten any slack tape in the cassette before use.Using either a pencil or a ball-poin t pen,simply insert the pen or pencil into the centre of the spool and rotate to remove slackness.Depress the CASS.STOP/EJECT butto n to open the cassette door.
CASSETTE OPERATION Type Of Cassettes Use only good quality cassettes(IEC TYPE 1)for making recordings. The unit may be used to replay other types of cassette but is unable to make proper recordings on these more specialist tapes. The use of C120 cassettes is not recommended in this machine.

CD OPERATION Operating CD 1 Switch to “CD” mode. 2 Press “ ” button once to open CD tray. • Place the disc with label facing up on the disc tray. • Hold the disc without touching either of its surface position with printed title side facing up, align it with the guides and place it in its proper position.
CD OPERATION Random Play The CD player can play tracks in a randomly generated sequence. Press the RANDOM button. The RANDOM indicator will appear. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The player will now select a track from the disc, at random, and begin to play that track. This continues until all the tracks have been played on that disk.
ON HANDLING DISCS ON CLEANING DISCS Do not touch the playback side of the disc. Fingerprints and dust on the disc casue picture and sound deterioration. Wipe the disc from the Do not attach paper or tape to disc. centre outwards with a soft cloth. Always keep the disc clean.
