Selecting the ASM mode

Set the camera to the REC mode (
13).
It cannot be switch to ASM mode while in
Movie or Voice REC mode.

Launch the ASM mode.
Press the ASM button ( ) to toggle
switch between Aperture Priority,
Shutter Priority, Manual Exposure mode.

Exit the ASM mode.
Press the MODE button ( ) to show the scene mode palette, and select
a REC mode (
Allows beginners to take pictures easily.
Used for the wide scenic views.
Blurring the background to focus on the subject.
Used for the beach or snow scenes.
Slow shutter speed to take fireworks exploding.
Shooting the subject while keeping the background night
scenery.
Take a still image to capture moving kids.
Higher saturation makes food more appetizing.
Enhance the edges of the subject.
Enhance the black & white contrast.
