IA, Install BurnerCaps=RegularBurners
This cooktopisequipped with sealed burners asshown
(seeFigure 8).
A. Unpack yourburner heads andburner caps.
B. Place burnerhead overeachgasorifice,matching
the head with the orificesize.Becarefulnot to
damagethe electrodewhile placingthe head
over the orifice. Makesureelectrode fits correctly
intoslotin burner head.
C. Place a burner capon eachburner head,matching
the capsizeto the head size.Each burnercaphasan
innerlocatingringwhichcenters the capcorrectly on
the burnerhead.
D. Besurethatallthe burner caps andburnerheads are
correctly p laced BEFORE using yourcooktop.
IA, Install BurnerCaps
- Dual Burners
Some models are equipped with dual sealed burners as
shown (see Figure 9). Make sure that the Burner Head,
Burner Caps and Burner Skirt are installed properly and
at the correct locations.
1. Remove all packing tape from cooktop and the dual
burner.
2. Discard all packing material located under all Burners (if
applicable).
3. To install Burner Head, Caps & Skirt, refer to figure 1
and follow the following steps:
Step 1:Align Burner Head Pin A on Burner Base Hole.
Step 2: Place Burner Skirt around Head and Base.
Step3: Align Burner Outer Cap Hole into Burner HeadPin B.
Step 4: Place Burner Inner Cap centered on Burner
Base.
5. Put back the grates on the cooktop.

Check the Igniters
Operation of electric igniters should be checked after
cooktop and supply line connectors have been carefully
checked for leaks and the cooktop has been connected
to electric power.
To operate
the surface burner:
A. Push in and turn a surface burner knob to the LITE
position. You will hear a small ticking noise; this is the
sound of the electric ignitor which lights the burner.
B. After the burner lights, turn to the desired flame size.
The controls do not have to be set at a particular
mark. Use the marks as a guide and adjust the flame
as needed.
