  • Page 22 Press the buttons to toggle between options in the Menu. As you move from one icon to another, the option name is highlighted. To select the highlighted item on the menu press the button again. Press the buttons to select the desired parameter. Press the button to enter the slide bar and then use the buttons, according to the indicators on the menu, to make your changes.
  • Page 23 Brightness Allows you to adjust the brightness or luminance of the backlight. Press the button to increase brightness and press the button to decrease brightness (min 0 ~ max 100). Contrast Allows you to adjust the contrast or the degree of difference between darkness and lightness on the monitor screen. Adjust brightness first, and adjust contrast only if you need further adjustment.
  • Page 25 Auto Adjustment allows the monitor to self-adjust to the incoming video signal. After using Auto Adjustment, you can further tune your monitor by using the Pixel Clock (Coarse) and Phase (Fine) controls under Display Settings. NOTE: Auto Adjust option is only available when you are using an analog (VGA) connector. Input Source (for Use the Input Source menu to select between different video signals that may be connected to your monitor.
  • Page 26 Input Color Format Allows you to set the video input mode to: RGB: Select this option if your monitor is connected to a computer or DVD player using the HDMI to DVI adapter.

Menu Transparency Allows you to adjust the OSD background from opaque to transparent. Menu Timer Allows you to set the time for which the OSD remains active after you press a button on the monitor. Use the button to adjust the slider in 1 second increments, from 5 to 60 seconds.
  • Page 32 This feature helps reduce minor cases of image retention. LCD Conditioning If an image appears to be stuck on the monitor, select LCD Conditioning to help eliminate any image retention. Using the LCD Conditioning feature may take some time. LCD Conditioning feature cannot remove severe cases of image retention or burn-in. NOTE: Use LCD Conditioning only when you experience a problem with image retention.

If you press any button other than the power button the following messages will appear depending on the selected input: If VGA or DVI cable is not connected, a floating dialog box as shown below appears. The monitor will enter Power Save Mode after 5 minutes if left at this state.

    1. Turn Off both your computer and the monitor. 2. Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer. To ensure a successful Self-Test operation, remove the Analog connector for E1713s. For E2013H/E2213H/E2313H, remove both the Digital (white connector) and the Analog (blue connector) connectors from the back of the computer.

    4. This box also appears during normal system operation, if the video cable becomes disconnected or damaged. The monitor will enter Power Save Mode after 5 minutes if left at this state. 5. Turn Off your monitor and reconnect the video cable; then turn On both your computer and the monitor. If your monitor screen remains blank after you use the previous procedure, check your video controller and computer, because your monitor is functioning properly.

    To run the built-in diagnostics: 1. Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen). 2. Unplug the video cable(s) from the back of the computer or monitor. The monitor then goes into the self-test mode. 3.
