Call Settings

Call Settings let you set options for calls, such as Auto Retry, Data
rates for data calls, and more.
From a Home screen, press Menu, then select Settings
Call Settings. The following options and sub-menus are
available:
• Call Answer: You can set your phone to answer incoming calls only
when you press

• Call Alert: Lets you set your phone plays to notify you of incoming
calls by playing the voice calls ringer only, by reading any Caller ID
information and playing the ringer, or by reading the Caller ID or
Contact name only.
• Auto Answer: Lets you set your phone to automatically answer
calls after from 1 to 5 seconds.
• Auto Retry: Automatically re-dials a number at an interval you
select, when there is no answer or the dialed party is busy.
Depending upon your location, the number of times your phone
redials a number may vary.
• TTY Mode: Set your phone to allow Teletypewriter (TTY)/
Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD) communication while
you converse with the other party, or you can limit voice
communication to Talking or Hearing only.
• Voice Privacy: Lets you choose what level of voice security
(Standard or Enhanced) your phone will use.

Phone Settings

Phone Settings let you customize the phone's operation.
From a Home screen, press Menu, then select Settings
Phone Settings. The following options and sub-menus are
available:
• Airplane Mode: Puts the phone in Airplane Mode, which disables
all radio functions of your phone, but allows you to use other
features safely in sensitive environments, such as on board an
aircraft.
• Shortcut Key: Choose the application that you wish each of three
Navigation key presses (Up, Right, Left) to launch.
• Language: Select from English or Español for use by the phone.
• Security: Change your phone's lock code, lock your phone, set up
emergency numbers, set restrictions, and other security options.
These settings require the phone's lock code.
• NAM Selection: Set your preferred system. Contact your Wireless
Provider for more information.
Note: Changing this setting causes your phone to automatically restart.
• System Select: Limit roaming to your Home area only or expand
roaming to automatically select a network used when outside your
Home area.
• Set Time: Set the time and date (only when digital service is
unavailable).
