Product Highlights
Progressive Scan
Progressive Scan doubles the vertical resolution of
the image resulting in a noticeably sharper picture.
Instead of sending field with the odd lines to the screen
first, followed by the field with the even lines, both
fields are written at one time. A full image is created
instantaneously, using the maximum resolution. At such
a speed, the human eye perceives a sharper picture
with no line structure.
RGB Component Video Input
RGB Component Video is the inter-connection standard
for analog video with the highest quality -- sharper than
S-video and composite video.
Philips DVD recorders can record directly from RGB
sources such as satellite receivers.
8 hours recording
The 8-hour record mode available on specific DVD
recorder models lets you record up to eight hours of
video on one single-sided DVD+RW/+R disc.
Digital Photo Manager/Recorder
Digital Photo Manager is a powerful picture browser
in a DVD player or recorder that provides a simple
and intuitive on-screen interface and an array of photo
management features.
It shows thumbnail views or slide shows of your pictures
on the TV screen. You can edit your pictures (rotate, flip,
tint control, filtering) and zoom in on any details.
Media Slot
Media Slot is a simple card solution, giving you instant
access to digital pictures from various memory card
formats like Compact Flash, Memory Stick, SD card and
MultiMedia Card via a PCMCIA adaptor.
i.LINK
Also known as IEEE 1394 and FireWire. i.LINK is the
worldwide standard for connecting digital video devices,
used on digital home video equipment such as DV and
D8 camcorders, as well as PCs. Conveniently, it carries
all audio and video signals via a single cable.
With i.LINK Digital Video input you cam copy your
home videos in their original digital picture quality.
