Product Highlights
Intelligent i.LINK connection
The intelligent i.LINK connection is a set of feat that let
you make better DVD copies of your camcorder tapes,
with less effort. It includes Smart Chaptering ensure
better copies and Remote Camcorder Control make the
copying easier.
RGB Component Video Input
RGB Component Video is the inter-connection standard
for analog video with the highest quality -- sharper than
S-video and composite video.
Philips DVD recorders can record directly from RGB
sources such as satellite receivers.
8 hours recording
The 8-hour record mode available on specific DVD
recorder models lets you record up to eight hours of
video on one single-sided DVD+RW/+R disc.
2-Channel Dolby Digital™ Recording
Dolby Digital™ is an advanced digital audio encoding
technology that is used on all DVD-Video discs. Philips
DVD Recorders store audio in the same format, so it
is fully compatible with any DVD player. The quality
surpasses that of analog video recorder.
Two-Way Compatibility
DVD Recorders can play regular DVD-Video discs, but
equally important is that DVD+R and DVD+RW discs
recorded on them can be played on existing DVD-Video
players.
MP3-CD Playback
MP3 stands for "MPEG 1 Audio layer-3".
MP3 is a revolutionary compression technology by
which large digital music files can be made up to
10 times smaller without radically degrading their
audio quality. MP3 has become the standard audio
compression format used on the world wide web,
allowing quick and easy audio file transfer
