Starting the Firmware Updater CAUTION You must have administrator privileges in order to update the firmware. CAUTION Before starting the firmware updater, turn on the printer, and make sure that it is correctly connected with a USB cable or network cable. In addition, confirm that the printer driver is installed with a USB connection or network connection. - Page 8 Connect the computer and the printer with a USB cable or network cable, and turn on the power of the printer. Confirm that the printer driver is installed in the computer with a USB con- nection or network connection. Print the configuration page from the printer control panel to check the current firmware version.
- Page 9 Confirm that the printer driver name of this printer is displayed in the Driver List, and the connection form of the computer and the printer is dis- played in the Port List. Then click [Start Download] button. If nothing is displayed in the Driver List and the Port List, the printer driver is not correctly installed.
