SSID
The SSID is an identification string of up to 32 ASCII characters that differentiate
the ASUS WL-330N3G from other manufacturers. The SSID is also referred to as
the "ESSID" or "Extended Service Set ID." You can use the default SSID and radio
channel unless more than one WL-330N3G is deployed in the same area. In that
case, you should use a different SSID and a radio channel for each WL-330N3G.
All ASUS Wireless APs/Routers and ASUS 802.11n/802.11g/802.11b WLAN client
adapters must have the same SSID to allow a wireless mobile client to roam. By
default, the SSID is set to "ASUS".
Wireless Mode
This field indicates the 802.11n interface mode. Selecting "Auto" allows 802.11g,
802.11b, and 802.11n clients to connect to WL-330N3G. Selecting "b/g Mixed"
allows 802.11b/g/n clients to connect to WL-330N3G, but 802.11n clients only run
at a speed of 54Mbps. Selecting "n only" maximizes performance, but prevents
802.11b/g clients from connecting to your device. Selecting "b only" allows only
802.11b clients to connect to your device. Selecting "g only" allows only 802.11g
clients to connect to your device. If "b/g Protection" is checked, protection of 11g
or 11b traffic is enabled automatically in the presence of 11g/11b traffic.
