Connecting a Flat-Panel Display
The port replicator includes Digital Visual Interface (DVI) and Monitor (VGA) ports to which you can connect either a
flat-panel display or external monitor. You must have a DVI-D cable to use the DVI port or a display cable to use the Monitor
port. If you wish to purchase a cable, contact your local retailer.

To connect the computer to a flat-panel display using the DVI port

Connect the computer to the port replicator. See

Plug the power cord for the flat-panel display into an AC outlet.

Plug the display cable into the DVI port
4.
Turn on the computer and flat-panel display.

Press the Fn+F7 keys to toggle the display between your computer, the flat-panel display, or both the computer
and flat-panel display. See
You cannot use the Monitor (VGA) port on your computer when a port replicator is connected to the computer. Use the
DVI or Monitor (VGA) port on the port replicator instead.
