Step 3: Install the power supply
The power supply can be installed with array power on if a
third power supply is being installed to upgrade to a redun-
dant configuration. The array will not operate with only one
functional power supply; two are required.
Locate the slot where the power supply is to be
installed.
Remove the filler panel or failed power supply.
Install the power supply as shown in Figure 2.
Push the power supply into the disk array chassis until
an audible click is heard. When the power supply is
properly installed, it cannot be removed without using
the black release latch.
Close the fan pack by carefully swinging the fan pack
up and firmly pressing it onto the latch until there is an
audible click. When the fan pack is properly latched, it
cannot be opened without using the release button.
Fan pack removed for clarity. It is not necessary
to remove the fan pack to remove the power supplies.
