4. Messages (Menu 1)

You can also send and receive text
messages, picture messages,
multimedia messages, and e-mail if
supported by your service provider.
Also, you can make distribution lists
that contain phone numbers and
names from your contact list. See
"Text entry", 15
for more
information.
When composing text messages,
picture messages, or multimedia
messages, check the number of
characters allowed in the top right
corner of the message. Using special
(Unicode) characters takes up more
space. If there are special characters
in your message, the indicator may
not show the message length
correctly. Before the message is sent,
the phone will tell you if the
message exceeds the maximum
length allowed for one message.
Note: When sending
messages, your device may
display

This is an indication that
the message has been sent by
your device to the message
center number programmed
into your device.

left key from the standby mode
screen.
2. Compose or reply to a message
using the keypad, and select
Send.
