2. Install the grass bag, ensuring that the pins on the
bag rest in the notches on the handle (Figure 14).
3. Lower the rear deflector.

Removing the Grass Bag

To remove the bag, reverse the steps above.

Operating the Bag-on-Demand Lever

The bag-on-demand feature allows you to either collect
or recycle grass and leaf clippings while the grass bag
is attached to the mower.
• For bagging the grass and leaf clippings, press the
button on the bag-on-demand lever and move the

lever forward until the button on the lever pops up
(Figure 15)

• For recycling the grass and leaf clippings, press the
button on the lever and move the lever rearward
until the button on the lever pops up.
Important: For proper operation, remove
any grass clippings and debris from the
bag-on-demand door and the surrounding
opening (Figure 16) before you move the
bag-on-demand lever from one position to
another.
WARNING
The blade is sharp; contacting the blade can
result in serious personal injury. Also, an open
rear discharge area could allow small stones
and other similar debris to be thrown in the
operator's or bystander's direction and result in
serious personal injury or death to the operator
or bystanders.
Stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to
stop before cleaning the bag-on-demand door
and the surrounding opening.
