Emergency.Call.key
The Emergency Call key allows you easy access to contact a
predetermined group of numbers should you need help. These
numbers will normally be family members or friends. To use the
Emergency Call key, you must first activated the function and
store in the emergency numbers you wish to call (see Settings on
page 24).
Once activated, to make an emergency call you will follow the
instructions for the option you selected:
Press and hold the Emergency Call key on the back of the
phone for 3 seconds.
On.Normal
Or
Press the Emergency Call key two times within  second.
On (3)
Press the Emergency Call key three times within  second.
After entering the key sequence above, the phone will first send
a text message to every number in your Emergency.Call.list.
Then it will attempt to call each number, starting at the top and
continuing through the list until a call is answered. Once a call is
answered (even if by an answering machine) the phone will stop
dialing any additional numbers in the list. If no call is answered,
dialing will repeat 3 times or until L is pressed.
Note!
Automatic calls to 911 is normally not allowed. Do not save
this number in the list of numbers to be called automatically.
Some private security companies can accept automatic calls
from their clients. Always contact the security company before
programming in its number. The function is set to interact
with most voice mail systems to avoid that the call sequence
is interrupted.
