MiniDisc Long Play (MDLP) is an industry standard for
compression levels of audio files.

and from MiniDisc media. The drive also supports secure
music transfers.
MPEG-1 Audio Layer 3 (MP3) is an audio file compression
format which condenses audio files approximately 1/10th the
size of an audio CD.

MPEG standard, with .mpg as the file name extension.
An application interface which enables you to transfer music
data at high speeds from your computer to a MiniDisc device
while protecting copyrighted material.
A copyright protection technology created by Sony. It is used
when importing and managing audio contents from music
distribution services or CDs. OpenMG prevents unauthorized
distribution of audio content through the Internet or other
networks.
A collection of cuts that you can select from recorded Video
Capsules. The Playlist feature enables you to design playback
of your selected scenes.
FM radio stations that are registered to the Preset List of
SonicStage Premium. The maximum number of preset FM
radio stations is 256.
Provides the ability to program the recording of an FM radio

Removing the safety tab from a Video Capsule prevents
accidental erasing of your video data.

your recording is in progress, you are able to view the
recording from the beginning.
