This section describes how to solve common problems you may
encounter when using your computer. Many problems have simple
solutions, so try these suggestions before you contact Sony Customer
Support.

About the VAIO MX Functions

Topic: The remaining check-out count for my songs is not the same as the
actual count.
If you remove the MiniDisc, MagicGate™ Memory Stick® media, or
disconnect an external device while checking songs in or out, the check-out
count may become inaccurate.
If the remaining check-out count is not the same as the actual count, navigate
to the Song Properties dialog box, as follows:

Right-click on a song. A shortcut menu appears.

Select Properties. The Song Properties window appears.

Verify that the Check-Out remaining option is selected.
If the songs are checked out from another computer, the Check-Out remaining option
is not available.
Topic: My selected song cannot be played back.
Certain songs have playback time restrictions. These songs can only be
played back during the designated time period.
Your computer's audio may be set to Muting On, if the disabled speaker icon
is visible in the front panel's LCD screen.
Songs shown in the Check-In/Check-Out window cannot be played back
while they are designated to be checked in or out.
