To gather inventory on the host machine
1 In the Symantec Management Console, on the Home menu, click Virtual
Machine Management.
2 In the left pane, click Actions > Getting Started and in the Getting Started
window, click Run Inventory Task.
3 On the inventory task page, select the Host Type and the credentials of the
host machine.

4 Under Task Status, specify a schedule for the task.

Click Save changes.
To manually create a Virtual Machine Management Inventory task
1 In the Symantec Management Console page, on the Manage menu, click Jobs
and Tasks.

In the left pane, under Jobs and Tasks, click Virtual Machine Management.
3 Right-click the Inventory folder and click New > Task.
4 In the tasks list, click Inventory.
5 On the inventory task page, give the task a name.
6 Select the Host Type and the credentials of the host machine, and click OK.

7 On the inventory task page, under Task Status, specify a schedule for the
task.
