This PointSafe can be operated in both home mode and
hotel
mode:
Home
mode:
The safe can be operated using one master code and one
user code. Please note you must change both the factory
set codes
(master
and user codes)
to secure
Hotel
mode:
The safe can be placed into hotel mode and be operated
using one user code—this can be programmed by the
guest. The user code will be automatically deleted when
the door is open for five minutes or more. The master code
will always remain programmed
and can be used to
open the safe or erase a guest programmed user code.
Please note you must change the factory set master
code
to secure
the
safe.
Code Requirements:
Master code must have 8 digits.
User code can have between 3 and 6 digits.

Warranty
This Burg-Wächter safe is covered under a limited one year
warranty and is non-transferable covering only the original
end purchaser. An original proof of purchase from the
retailer is required for warranty service.
What is not included under the warranty:

Misuse, lack of care, mishandling, accident, abuse or
other

Use of the product other than for its intended purpose
Damage caused by improper or unauthorized repair

Before you begin:
Please read the "Home Mode Guide" (overleaf)
instructions first before attempting to programme the
safe into hotel
mode.
Hotel
Mode:
This safe can be set to "Hotel Mode" which allows guests
to program their own user code to access the safe.
Understanding
the difference between master code
and
user
code:
Master
code:
Used to administer
Gaining access to safe when a guest has forgotten
their password
Gaining access to the safe when a guest leaves the
safe door locked on vacating the room
Changing the master code
Erasing guest set passcode
The
master
code
should
guests—for
security reasons only authorised
employees should have access to the master code.
User
code:
A user code is created by the hotel guest to access the
safe. The master code will always override a user code.
The user code is reset when the safe door is left open for
five or more minutes. Programmed user code will be
erased.The master code will always remain
programmed.
Guest
Instructions:
A code must be programmed by the guest to lock this
safe. Please follow these simple steps:
Lock
Safe:
A code must between 3 and 6 digits in length:
Close
the
safe door
Press "ENTER"
button
Enter code (between 3 and 6 digits) using keypad
Press "ENTER"
button
Press "CLOSE"
button
The safe will now lock and can be opened using the
programmed code.
Unlock
Safe:
The code used to lock the safe must be used to unlock
the safe:
Press "ENTER" button
Enter programmed code using keypad
Press "ENTER"
button
The safe is now unlocked and the door will open
automatically.
Departing Guest:
When departing, please:
Unlock the safe
Remove
all contents
Leave the safe door open with the bolts in the
open position
Any programmed
the door is left open for five minutes or longer

Step 1:
Programme safe into hotel mode:
The safe door must be open and bolts extended to
programme
hotel mode. To do this, open the safe
(see Home Mode overleaf), then with the door open,
press the "CLOSE"button to extend the bolts.
The safe by default will be in Home mode—
to programme hotel mode, please follow these steps:
Press "ENTER" button
Display will say "Hello" followed by "Code"
Enter your eight digit master code
Press "ENTER"
button
The display with show "PASSI" and then countdown
for I Oseconds. Pressthe "ENTER' button during this
countdown to enter programming mode
Enter the programme code "16805"
Press "ENTER"
button
Display shows "SET-05" to confirm the safe is now
programmed to hotel mode.
The door should be left open for guests to
programme their own user code.
Returning Safe to Home Mode:
Should you wish to re-programme the safe back to Home
Mode, please follow the steps above, using programme
code
"16800"
to set home
mode.
The display will show "SET-00" when home mode is
successfully programmed.
