This section assumes some basic knowledge of Windows

administration as there are too many variations. The following step-by-step
instructions will allow you to install OpenOffice.org version 2.x and later releases on a
Windows

-based system from a downloaded image. If you are installing from a CD, you will
not have to unpack the image but, depending upon your Windows
copy the installation files from the CD to disk.
The first thing you'll want to do is read through these instructions completely, and use the
