To store the accessories in the compartment of the extension table, hook your fingers in the hollow on the left side of the extension table.   • Page 12 GETTING READY TO SEW Connecting the Power Supply Using start/stop button 1. First make sure the power switch is OFF. 2. Insert the machine plug of the power supply cable into the machine socket. 3. Insert the power supply plug into the wall outlet, and turn the power switch ON.

  • Page 17 Controlling sewing speed Speed control slider You can limit the maximum sewing speed with the speed control slider according to your sewing needs. To increase the sewing speed, move the slider to the right. To decrease the sewing speed, move the slider to the left.
  • Page 18 (3) Auto-lock button • When the following stitch patterns are selected: Utility Quilt Bridge Press the auto-lock button to sew a locking stitch immediately. The machine will automatically stop. When the auto-lock button is pressed while the machine is stopped, the machine will immediately sew locking stitches and automatically stop after the machine is started.

  • Page 21 Raising and Lowering the Presser Foot CAUTION: Do not turn the handwheel or press the needle up/ down button when the presser foot is in extra lifted position. This may cause damage to the presser foot. The presser foot lifter raises and lowers the presser foot. You can raise the presser foot about 6 mm (1/4˝) higher than the normal up position by exerting more pressure when lifting the presser foot lifter.

  • Page 68 Variety of Buttonholes B1 Sensor (square) buttonhole This square buttonhole is widely used on medium to heavy weight fabrics. The buttonhole size is automatically determined by placing a button in the foot. B2 Round end buttonhole This buttonhole is used on fine to medium weight fabrics especially for blouses and children's clothes.

You can select various options and customize the machine settings to suit your personal preference. Press one of the 4 keys to select the mode to customize. (1) Set mode key (2) Machine settings mode key Press this key to enter the machine settings.

Doing any operation will turn the lights and screen on again. The standby timer can be set from 1 to 30 minutes.

You can select the desired start-up speed from 1 to 5 by pressing the corresponding key, and set the speed for the start/ stop button or foot control individually.
  • Page 174 (8) Feed Dogs Feed Dogs The feed dog can be lowered for sewing on buttons, etc. Raise the presser foot lifter and press the drop feed key. NOTE: Retract the carriage arm when raising or lowering the feed dogs. (9) Resume Mode Resume Mode Turn this option on when you wish to resume the last pattern sewn before turning the power switch OFF.

(1) One Stitch Stop One Stitch Stop When this option is turned on, the machine sews one stitch and stops automatically with the “One Stitch Stop” message displayed on the screen, so that you can bring the bobbin thread up before sewing.
  • Page 176 (5) Consecutive Color Grouping Consecutive Color Grouping If an imported stitch data file or design files of a pattern combination contain consecutive sections in the same color, these sections are automatically grouped together as one section when opening the file or saving the pattern combination as a file or going to the Ready to Sew window. This option is invalid when combining the built-in designs and externally sourced designs. Turn this option off if you do not wish to group the sections together.

The machine trims the thread and stops automatically. (8) Jump Thread Cutting Length Jump Thread Cutting Length When this option is turned on, the machine trims the jump threads if the jump thread length is the same or more than the set value.
