INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Your telescope is very easy to set up and requires no tools. Included in the

12 mm (50x), 6 mm (100x) and 4 mm (150x) eyepieces.

Remove the tripod from the box and pull the tripod legs apart until each leg
is fully extended. Push down gently in the center of the triangular brace for
added stability. The top of the tripod is called the head (altazimuth mount).
To change the height of the tripod, loosen the tripod leg clamps and pull the
legs out to the desired height and tighten the leg clamps

The telescope optical tube attaches to the tripod by using the mounting
bracket on the bottom of the optical tube and attaching it to the mounting
platform of the tripod (top piece).
• Under the mounting platform of the tripod is a knob which has a
1/4"x20" screw that will securely attach the platform to the telescope
optical tube
• Hold the optical tube with one hand while threading the screw into
the threaded hold in the telescope mounting bracket until tight

The telescope is easy to move wherever you want to point it. The up and down
(altitude) and side to side (azimuth) movements are controlled by the tripods
pan handle. The pan handle is loosened when turned counterclockwise and
tightened when turned clockwise. When the pan handle is loose, objects can
easily be found with the finderscope, then lock the pan handle.
Hint: With the pan handle slightly loose, the easiest way to point the telescope is
to have one hand on the tripod head with the other hand on the diagonal. This
will allow you to move and point the telescope in any direction quickly.

Insert the small eyepiece barrel into the diagonal opening (A.) and then
tighten the thumbscrew. Next, place this assembly into the back of the optical
tube and tighten the thumbscrew (B.). The power using the 20 mm eyepiece is
30x. You should always start with the lowest power and gradually increase the

power as needed. The 4 mm (150x power) eyepiece can be used under ideal
seeing conditions, and although the image will be large, it will also be dark with
a very narrow field of view, whereas the lower power eyepieces will yield wider
fields and brighter views.
Note: The views through the telescope are reversed right to left, which is normal
with most telescopes.

The 3x finderscope makes it easier to locate objects.
Remove the knurled nuts on the threaded posts of the
telescope tube. Mount the finderscope bracket by placing
it over the posts protruding from the telescope tube.
While holding the bracket in place, thread on the knurled
nuts and tighten them down.
Note: The finderscope should be oriented so that the larger
diameter lens is facing toward the front of the telescope tube.

One of the best times to observe the Moon is during its partial phases (1st or
3rd quarter) and spectacular views await you.
