    Follow these instructions for safe installation. Keep this manual handy. Hoxter fireplace insert can be very hot even when the fire is no longer visible. This concerns all the parts of the fireplace insert including the glass. Never touch any part of the fireplace without adequate protection.

    7.4 Positioning the fireplace · The fireplace must be positioned on a noncombustible base with the respective load-bearing capacity. · The fireplace must be positioned on the foundation plate, not on an unstable or movable surface. · The distance of the fireplace from the floor can be regulated by turning the legs (Fig. 2). Use the adjustable legs to balance out a height difference of up to 6 cm (only 1 cm for corner inserts).

    7.6 Fresh air supply for burning Hoxter fireplaces consume a large amount of air. It’s recommended to connect it to the external air supply. It’s not mandatory unless the home is highly energy efficient. · The fireplace must only be operated in rooms with a sufficient supply of air for burning.     7.7 Connection to the chimney · Do not connect Hoxter fireplace insert to a chimney used for another appliance. · Use only chimney certified according to UL-103HT or ULCS629 depending on applicable standard in your area. · Consult the illustration for different chimney configurations. Refer to the chimney manufacturer’s instruction manual for safe and correct details of installation.
