    VENTING INSTALLATION Continued HIGH ALTITUDE INSTALLATION Your Comfort Glow direct-vent fireplace has been AGA tested and approved for elevations from 0-2000 feet and CGA certi- fied for elevations from 0-4500 feet. When installing this fireplace at an elevation above 2000 feet (in the USA), you may need to decrease the input rating by changing the existing burner orifice to a smaller size.

    Install external regulator with the vent pointing down as shown in Figure 34. Pointing the vent down protects it from freezing rain or sleet. CHDV37N/P AND CHDV41N/P CAUTION: Use only new, black iron or steel pipe. Inter- nally-tinned copper tubing may be used in certain areas.

Let cool before installing brick liner. This brick liner kit is optional. You may purchase brick liner from your local retailer or see Accessories, page 33.

    Use a non-abrasive house- hold glass cleaner to clean glass. Do not clean glass when hot. CHDV37N/P AND CHDV41N/P Glass must be cleaned periodically. During start-up it is normal for condensation to form on the inside of the glass causing lint, dust, and other airborne particles to cling to the glass surface.
