Starting
Positions control pistons and swashblock for maximum displacement to raise system pressure.
Raising Pressure - Loading
Pump outlet pressure ports to control spool and bias piston, equalizing pressure on spool.
Compensating Pressure - Unloading
Relief valve allows flow to drain, decreasing pressure on spool, shifting it to reduce displacement.
Holding Pressure
If system pressure drops, relief valve seats, equalizing pressure and returning spool to original position.
