Installation and Removal Instructions for Dell PowerVault 114T FX973 Ferrite Core Kit If ferrites are present, there is no need to replace or install new ones. When replacing SCSI cables or power supplies with ferrites attached, refer to Adding Ferrites to New SCSI Cables or Power Supply to open ferrites.

Adding Ferrites to New SCSI Cables or Power Supply Use your fingers and/or a flat blade screwdriver to pry open the ferrites surrounding the power and SCSI cables. See Figure 1-7 for opening ferrite on power cable and Figure 1-8 for opening ferrites on SCSI cable. Please make sure the ferrites are placed on your new SCSI cable or power supply.
