Media Type
Enables selecting the type of media loaded in the media tray, manual feed or 2nd feeder
(option). When Labels or Thick Paper is selected, Manual Feed must be set for Paper
Source. Cotton Paper cannot be used for duplex printing and printing from 2nd feeder.

Paper Source
Enables selecting the tray feeding a media.
If the optional 2nd feeder is installed on the printer and enabled on the Device tab
page 58), Media Tray is changed to Upper and Lower selection is added.
• AutoSelect Tray
The printer picks media from the tray loaded with the media that is selected in the Paper
Size. The printer automatically feeds in the order of manual feed, media tray (upper),
lower.
• Media Tray / Upper
Prints on the media loaded in the standard tray of the printer. Thick paper [106 – 165 g/m
(29 – 44 lbs.)] or label cannot be printed using the media tray. Their media can be printed
using the manual feed.
• Manual Feed
Enables printing on any type of media one by one from the manual feed. It cannot be
selected when performing duplex printing.
• Lower
Enables to print on only plain paper in the tray of the optional 2nd feeder.
