Amplifier Functions
Speakers
Connect speakers/subwoofers to these terminals. Check wire for proper polarity. Never connect speaker cables to chassis ground.
+12 Volt Power
Connect this terminal through a fuse or circuit breaker to the positive terminal of the vehicle battery or audio system battery.
Auto Sensing Turn On Function / REM OUT (HI-INPUTS)
AMP detects DC offset from high level input signal to auto turn on/off. REM terminal outputs +12V DC for other devices.
Ground (GND)
Connect this cable directly to the frame of the vehicle. Ensure metal frame is stripped of all paint down to bare metal.
RCA Input / Auto Hi-Low Line Convertor
Connects to source unit RCA low level outputs or via optional adapter to speaker high level outputs. Use quality cables.
Remote (Mono Blocks)
Connect the remote controller to control subwoofer amplifier volume from the driver's seat for easy adjustment during playing.
Gain Control
Matches amplifier sensitivity to source unit signal voltage. Operating range is 10V to 40mV. Not a volume control.
Low Pass Filter Control (Mono Block)
Selects desired low pass X-over frequency. Adjustable from 60Hz to 220Hz for all bass mono models.
Subsonic Filter Control (Mono Block)
Filters unwanted low frequency from 0Hz (off) to 60Hz. Increases power handling of woofers.
Bass Boost Level Knob (Mono Block)
Adjusts the boost level of the bass boost center frequency. Adjustable from 0 to 12dB.
Bass Boost Freq Knob (Mono Block)
Adjusts the boosted center frequency. Adjustable from 30Hz to 120Hz according to system performance.
X-Over Mode (Full Range)
Works with FREQ to adjust amp operating frequency range. Switch to LPF for subwoofer, HPF for small speakers.
Frequency Control (Full Range)
Works with X-over X1/X10 for High Pass Frequency Crossover. HPF range 100Hz-3KHz (X10) or 10Hz-300Hz (X1).
2/4 Ohm Switch (EX46/EX48)
For EX46/EX48, allows dual output power. Choose 2 Ohm for 2 Ohm/4 Ohm BTL speaker output, 4 Ohm for 4 Ohm speaker output.
Panel Layout
External Capacitor Input
For connecting an optional external hi-voltage capacitor to stabilize voltage, improve fidelity, and maximize headroom.
Woofer Channel Signal Selector (EX5)
Selects signal source for subwoofer channel. Up: subwoofer channel RCA input. Down: mixes 4x full frequency bass signal.
Power Indicator
LED lights up when the amplifier is working properly.
Protection Indicator
Red LED lights up/flashes if a fault is present. Disconnect amplifier and resolve fault before reconnecting.
