Operation
Parental Control can be used to block specific channels, ratings and other viewing sources.
The Parental Control Function (V-Chip) is used to block program viewing based on the ratings sent by the broadc_ting station.
The defauff setting is to allow aH programs to be viewed Viewing can be bilked by choosing the type of the program and the cat-
egories, It is also possible to block a_ program viewing for a time period. To use this function, the foBowing must be done :
1 Set ratings and categories to be b_ocked.
2 Specify a password
3 Enabfe the lock

Rating guidelines are provided by broadcas4Jng stations. Most television programs _d television movies can be blocked by TV
Rating and/or Individual Categories. Movies that have b_n shown at the theaters or direct4owideo movies use the Movie Ratiog
System (MPAA) only
