Starting the Engine
General Starting Safety
Never run engine indoors or in enclosed areas due to carbon monoxide risk.
Keep Clear of Moving Parts
Keep hands, feet, hair, and loose clothing away from moving engine parts.
Muffler Temperature Warning
Muffler and surrounding areas can exceed 150°F (65°C); avoid these areas.
Starting with Recoil Starter

How to Stop the Engine
