Congratulations on your purchase of the HP Server Appliance. You have purchased an
exceptional product that comes with exceptional support services. This booklet shows you
how to obtain service if you have a problem, and also shows you how to find more
information on optimizing the performance of your HP Server Appliance. HP's warranty
terms and conditions are located at the end of this booklet.
Your Hewlett-Packard Limited Warranty
One-year next day unit replacement warranty
HP warrants to you, the end user customer, that HP hardware, accessories, and supplies will
be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR. If HP
receives notice of such defects during the warranty period, HP will replace the unit that
proves to be defective by the end of the next business day provided that customers notify HP
or Resellers by 3pm local time. Replacement units may be either new or equivalent in
performance to new.
Replacement units assume the remaining warranty of the units they replace. The replaced
units become the property of HP and must be returned to HP after the replacement has been
installed. The replacement units become your property.

HP does not warrant that the operation of HP products will be uninterrupted or error
free.

HP products may contain remanufactured parts equivalent to new in performance or
may have been subject to incidental use.

Warranty does not apply to defects resulting from,
a.
improper or inadequate maintenance or calibration,
b.
software, interfacing, parts or supplies not supplied by HP,
c.
unauthorized modification or misuse,
d.
operation outside of the published environmental specifications for the product, or
e.
improper site preparation or maintenance.
HP Software Warranty
HP warrants for ONE (1) YEAR from the date of purchase that all HP pre-installed
software will execute its programming instructions when all files are properly installed.
During the one-year warranty period, in the event that software fails to execute its
programming instructions, HP will provide customers with remote assistance (by phone
and/or by email) for installation and configuration.
HP warrants all the software media that comes with your server appliance for NINETY
(90) DAYS from the date of purchase. During the 90-day warranty period, if the software
fails to install and/or configure your server appliance due to the software media, customer's
remedy will be either (1) a replacement, or (2) a refund of the purchase price (license fee) if
HP is unable to replace the media within 10 business days upon return of the product and
all copies of software as well as installation instructions.
