Tools Required
•
Phillip and fl at screwdrivers
•
Sockets: 10, 12 and 14mm
•
2" putty knife
•
Clip removal tool
•
6" straight pick
•
Rubber mallet
•
3' hanger wire
•
1/2" double-tape
•
Rivet gun with 1/4" 12mm rivets
•
Needle nose pliers
•
Drill with 5/32" drill bit

2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide TOP REMOVAL Retract frame to open position, use 14mm socket to remove both seats from vehicle for accessibility. Remove phillip screws to release both rear wall trim covers from vehicle. - Page 3 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Remove phillip screws and unclip to release both door step-in trim covers from vehicle. Remove phillip screws to release both quarter panels from vehicle.

- Page 12 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Use a putty knife and carefully pry open cross bow to release Top/liner sleeve. Using needle nose pliers, pry open spring loop attachment to release tension cables.

2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide If necessary, replace worn elastic straps before installing new top. TOP INSTALLATION Locate rain rail and Top base retainer to center position and start riveting to either direction. - Page 15 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Carefully apply super glue onto extended Top binding and fold inner side additional for support. Attach Top and headliner velcro sleeves together fi rst, then insert both into 3rd cross bow channel.
- Page 16 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Using a rubber mallet, carefully tap across bow to ensure sleeve fi t into guided channel. Stretch Top forward and attach front sleeve listing to 2nd cross “fl oating” bow.
- Page 17 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Use 3’ hanger wire to connect tension cables to Top, by inserting them thru side pocketed sleeves. Retract frame to midway position and attach Top front edge to frame header for positioning.
- Page 18 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Retract frame to closed position, connect tension cables to relief spring and secure springs to frame. Connect Top at rear, attach lock clips and re-attach support brackets by “hand tightening” bolts fi rst.
- Page 19 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Retract frame to midway position, attach quarter pockets into frame and secure with rivets to hold. Slightly retract frame to lower position and install phillip screws to secure quarter pockets to frame.
- Page 20 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Retract frame to closed position, with a 14mm socket tighten base bolts to secure Top to vehicle. Retract frame to midway position, with phillips secure metal retainer and Top to frame header.
- Page 21 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Apply ½” double-tape to outer sides of header and attach Top fl aps to hold. Use phillip screws to secure horizontal seal metal retainers to frame and attach rubber seals.

- Page 23 2000 - 2008 Honda S2000 Roadster Convertible Top Installation Guide Attach vertical rubber seal clips fi rst, then force into channel by using a 2” putty knife to secure. Retract frame to close position, re-attach Top well side trim panels using lock clips and phillip screws.
