DVD Video Recording (VR) Format

Rewritable DVD discs have emerged in the form of CD-R and
CD-RW. As media files increase in size and the demand for
recording high quality video on rewritable discs displaces the
current trend of audio recording with CD rewritable discs, DVD
technology will finally be utilized to its maximum. Rewritable DVD
discs, such as DVD-RW or DVD-RAM, can store as much as 7X
more data than recordable CDs.
ComproDVD allows you to read and play DVD-RW or
DVD-RAM discs. The features listed below coincide with
the same feature as normal DVD-ROM or titles for both
formats:
DVD VR Introduction
As with any technology, formats that may seem similar can be
radically different as they undergo transformations in the quest for
compatibility. DVD-RW and DVD-RAM are no different. Thus, the
aforementioned technologies and their associated recording
hardware devices will differ in many respects, which will affect the
features the disc will contain. Listed below are features that are not
