Extended periods of cold temperature(below-20°F/-28.8°C)can cause alkaline
batteries to function improperly. This will cause the outdoor wireless sensor to stop
transmitting temperature readings. Use lithium batteries in these low temperature
conditions to ensure continued operation for wireless sensors placed outdoors.
NOTE: Rechargeable batteries are not recommended due to higher operating
voltages.
Alkaline Batteries: -28.8°C to 60°C (-20°F to 140°F)
Lithium Batteries: -40°C to 60°C (-40°F to 140°F)
Temperatures below -28.8°C (- 20°F)
