Oil Filter Wrench Set

• The instructions provided herein are only for general
information. ALWAYS
compliance with your vehicle's service manual.
Particularly, ALWAYS tighten parts to the torque
ranges specified in the service manual. After any
repair, test your engine and vehicle in your workshop
and at low speed before returning to normal use.
• DO NOT allow children or those unfamiliar with this
product and its compatible engines to use it. Do not
use while tired or while intoxicated with alcohol, drugs,
or medication. Keep children and bystanders away
during use.
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common
sense when using this product. Keep your work area clean
and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
• ALWAYS wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
suitable for your task. Always wear ANSI-approved eye
and hand protection. Other equipment such as nonslip
footwear will usually be needed as well. Dress properly
for automotive servicing. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewelry. Keep hair and clothing away from moving parts.
ALWAYS activate your vehicle's parking brake before
•
any engine work. If your vehicle requires one or both
front wheels to be removed to provide access to the
engine, use jacks and jack stands able to fully support
the necessary weight.
• Disconnect your vehicle's battery before beginning
work. Large metal tools can cause shorts and electric
shock during accidental contact with either terminal.
• Dispose of the used filter and oil according to local
regulations. ALWAYS fully drain the oil filter before
disposal.
• Maintain this product. Check for misalignment, binding,
wear, or other damage before use. If any damage is
detected, repair or replace the problematic components
before further use.

Operation
1. Park your vehicle on level ground and activate its
parking brake. The oil should be slightly warm but not
hot. If your engine is cold, run it a few minutes. If your
engine is hot, allow time for it to cool. Turn off your
engine and disconnect the battery.
2. If you will be performing a full oil change, drain the oil
pan according to your vehicle's service manual now.
3. Find the oil filter. Position your catch basin below it, as
some oil will leak during the change.
4. Select the correct adapter for your vehicle and attach it
to the provided wrench.
5. Fit the adapter onto your filter and turn counterclockwise
to loosen and remove it.
6. Leave your old filter facedown in or above your catch
basin to drain completely for the next 24 hours before
disposal.
7. Lubricate your new filter's gasket with a small amount
of oil and thread it carefully into place by hand.
8. Finish installing the filter according to your service
manual's instructions, tightening it only to the
recommended torque.
9. Top up your motor oil, reconnect your battery, and
check for any leaks or other problems before resuming
full use of your vehicle.
Maintenance
• For best results, clean with a mild detergent and soft
cloth after each use. Do not use caustic chemicals or
harsh abrasives. Rinse entirely clean and allow time to
dry completely before further use.
• Check all parts periodically for any signs of wear
or damage. Repair or replace any problematic
components before any further use.
• If these tools will not be used for an extended time,
store in a cool dry place inaccessible to children and
away from direct sunlight.
