    How to use 3-1. Preparation for operation • Never use highly flammable fuel like gasoline, to avoid fire. • Never contaminate or mix fuels. For example, never contaminate kerosene with gasoline by DANGER using a gasoline container to carry kerosene. Even a small amount of gasoline, or other vol- atile fuels, in kerosene is hazardous.

    ■ Refueling Observations • Please use “kerosene” or “Fuel-Oil no heavier than No.2 (Diesel)” and do not use poor quality or foul fuel, to help avoid ignition, operating, and other problems. Remove the fuel cap and insert a handy suction pump into the fuel tank. Watch the fuel gauge while refueling. When the gauge reaches the maximum level, stop refueling. Tighten well the fuel cap, and wipe off any spilt fuel. • Please wipe off any spilt if spilled. CAUTION Please wear the protective gloves and wipe off the spilt fuel to avoid injury.

    ■ Ignition Procedures Observations • To make sure the heater is ignited, please do not leave the heater until you confirm that it is burning and otherwise func- tioning properly. 1 Use the fuel gauge to check if the fuel is sufficiently filled up in the tank.

    ■ Auto Control Mode The combustion level is automatically adjusted according to the set temperature. How to operate Press the Mode button to light the Auto Control Mode lamp. In order to set desired temperature, press the Up/Down button.(default value 55°F) After 5 seconds, the temperature setting is fixed and the display changes from blinking to lighting.

    Inspection • Never inspect or service the heater while it is burning, in operation, hot or plugged-in WARNING to avoid any injury and/or trouble. • Before starting any inspection or service, to avoid electric shock, please make sure the CAUTION heater is shut down and that the power cord is disconnected.
