The encoder supports H.265 and H.264 high-efficiency codec with built-in stream protocols including SRT, HLS, RTP, RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, and UDP/TCP etc. The HEM-2KW is perfect for those live productions, which need 2K video long-haul wireless transmission or broadcasting, such as live lecturing, outdoor live streaming, and done aerial photography etc.

    1, By default, the HEM-2KW is in AP mode. Users can switch the encoder to Client mode by pressing the device button for about 3s until the indictor turns to red, and the device will search the Wi-Fi saved automatically.

    1, Plug the HEM-2KW HDMI input to the HDMI port of the signal source. 2, The indicator lights up in solid red when the HEM-2KW is powered properly, and turns to flash in yellow after about 20s (by default, the HEM-2KW is in AP mode).

    1. In AP mode, the indicator of the HEM-2KW flashes in red. If the encoder is not in AP mode, please press the device set button for about 3s until the indicator flashes in red to switch it to AP mode.

    9.1 Log in to Web Setting Page No matter the HEM-2KW is in AP mode or in Client mode, users can log in to its web UI for parameter configurations through the browser of the control terminal such as mobile phone, laptop, or computer etc.

If the Client mode IP is set to Static, please remember the Client IP address manually  configured, and use it to log in to the encoder web UI. If users forget the Client IP address configured, please switch the encoder back to AP mode and log in to web UI to check the value on the Network page.

    Picture 8 9.3 Audio Settings Click “Audio” icon on left menu on the web UI to direct to Audio page, where users can modify audio parameters according to the application requirements and click “Apply” to save the parameter settings.

    The HEM-2KW supports HDMI audio input. 2、Encoding Type Users can choose AAC or G711u as audio encoding type. Note: when the encoder performs RTMP live streaming, please set the HEM-2KW Encoding Type to AAC. 3、BitRate It is the audio encoding bit rate. When the Encoding Type is AAC, the bitrate can be adjusted within the range of 32Kbps-256Kbps;...
  • Page 24 Stream to some extent. We will recommend the total bitrate value of the Primary Stream and Secondary Stream not to exceed 24M. 2. The wireless video transmission effect of the HEM-2KW is heavily affected by the Wi-Fi network and surrounding network environment. Users need to adjust the Video encoding parameters according to the actual application environment to achieve the best video effect.

For example, the content is “DDMALL”, and we set X and Y value to [100, 100], that means [100, 100] is the position of the first letter “D”.

    HEM-2KW needs to connect in Client mode and set the Client mode IP address. Picture 24 1) Select the SSID of mobile hotspot or WiFi router the HEM-2KW needs to connect in Client mode from the Nearby WiFi List. 5G network is preferred.
