Setting Up the TM80 This unit is a preset Clock/Radio: the clock is preset to Eastern Standard Time at the factory. A few steps will match settings to where you live. Setting Time Zone and Daylight Savings Time (DST) 1. Install/Replace Clock Battery Backup The TM80 uses 2 “AA” batteries as a backup battery system to provide continuous alarm operation and clock settings in the event of a power clock battery backup failure. If the Backup Batteries have been installed and a power failure occurs or the AC adaptor is accidentally disconnected, the display backlight will not remain lit, but the current time and alarm time settings will be temporarily maintained.
