Its small footprint makes the S3 a welcome addition to the limited space of any exchange office. Adaptive and easy-to-use, the Cassida Pro S3 can be used for a number of applications including bank branches, casinos, high cash volume retailers, cash centers, exchange offices, and in high-cash transaction environments.
Glossary of Terms Bills: Refers to any currency or denomination to be counted. Hopper: Location where user places bills to be counted. May refer to either the S3 infrared sensors, or infrared features built into modern currencies. May refer to either the S3 magnetic sensors, or magnetic features built into modern currencies.
Loading Bills Before loading bills into the S3, ensure the desired currency and operation modes are selected. Proper alignment of bills into the hopper reduces feed errors, jamming, and identification reject errors caused by misaligned bills. Bills should be stacked neatly prior to loading, and placed between the hopper bill guides at the center of the hopper.
Currency Selection Press CUR key to select the desired currency. Press the up and down arrows to navigate to desired currency and press enter to select. The S3 will save your selection.
Operational Modes When the “Mode” button is pressed, the operation mode is activated. Press “Mode” to switch among modes until the desired mode appears. • Mix Mode In Mix mode, the machine counts all the bills of the same currency regardless of denomination changes.

• Single Mode Bills are sorted by denomination. In the default configuration, the bills with the denomination first detected genuine bill are first sent to the Stacker 2. Once stacker 2 is full or reaches the strap number set, then bills from the hopper will be sent to the Stacker1.
• Count Mode In the mode, the machine counts every kind of bills, paper or any other appropriate media. NOTE: When the display shows “Stacker Batch Full,” please remove notes from the stacker. • Orientation Sorting Mode Orientation mode focuses on the direction of the note’s face - either up or down - ensuring all notes are stacked consistently for easy handling. In the default configuration, the up-right genuine bills are sent to the Stacker 2 and up-side down ones are sent to the Stacker 1.
Fitness Sorting When the “Fitness” button is pressed, the fitness sorting mode is activated. This mode allows to sort banknotes based on their condition (or “fitness”). It sorts notes into categories such as fit (good condition) and unfit (damaged, soiled, or otherwise unfit for circulation) to ensure that only notes in acceptable condition are retained, while notes that are damaged or dirty are separated for further handling or disposal.

• ATM Sorting Mode Select “ATM” to enter ATM sorting mode. In the default configuration, bills suitable for ATM are sent to Stacker 2. Unfit bills, like soiled, stained, graffiti, torn, repaired, crumpled, limp, folded, corner folded, holed, and de-inked notes will be sent to Stacker 1. Suspect bills are sent to the reject pocket.

• Denomination Sorting Mode Select “Deno Fitness” to enter denomination sorting mode. In the default configuration, banknotes with the denomination of the first detected genuine notes are sent to Stacker 2, and banknotes with the denomination of the second detected genuine notes are sent to Stacker 1.
• Version Set Sorting Mode Select “Ver Set Fitness” to enter version set sorting mode. In the default configuration, banknotes with the version set of the first detected genuine notes are sent to Stacker 2. and banknotes with the second version set of the same denomination genuine notes are sent to Stacker 1.

Here you can access and adjust sensor settings, test hardware, set pocket limits, reset parameters, adjust beep tone, format memory card, configure network and reset to factory settings.
Counting Speed Setting This feature allows the user to choose the speed setting the S3 will operate. Press “Speed” button more than once to toggle between different counting speeds: L: 800 notes/min M: 1000 notes/min H: 1200 notes/min Automatic and Manual Counting Starting Mode This feature allows user to set how the S3 will operate once currency is placed in the hopper.
User Settings S3 allows users to control set up and operation according to their own customization standards. Through this menu, the user can view control functions such as Blacklist, brightness, software version, network parameters, dust cover operation and date & time.
