INTRODUCTION
The MDS WiYZR-C allows the connection of process sensors to
an On-Ramp Wireless (ORW) OTV network. Wirelessly net-
worked sensors allow monitoring and control of equipment and
processes without the infrastructure requirements of a
hard-wired system. The WiYZ platform's IP65 Outdoor Rating
allows installation of the remotes outdoors, if required.

WiYZR-C Remote
The WiYZR-C Remote is an industrial wireless solution for
monitoring signals from directly connected sensors and other
signaling devices. It provides robust, versatile communications
even in harsh environments and at sites with limited commu-
nication and power facilities.
The unit's self-contained design allows for quick installation and
deployment without the need for additional accessories.

Typical Application
The WiYZR-C system allows the user to connect a network of
sensors wirelessly, and to access collected sensor data from
widely distributed locations. The WiYZR-C Remote monitors
analog and discrete signals. Sensor devices, such as tank level
sensors and OEM instruments can be connected directly to the
WiYZR-C Remote. Digital outputs can be triggered as alarm
outputs.

1.3 Current Input Remote
This device supports a current input I/O set:
• Two digital inputs (5 to 36 Vdc)
• Two digital outputs (FET relay, 2 A continuous)
• Two analog current inputs (0 to 22 mA)
• One 24 V (40 mA) sensor power supply output
1.4 Voltage High Remote
This device supports a high voltage I/O set:

NOTE: The WIYZ Remote is certified for both ITE and Haz-
ardous locations through the UL certification body.
All wiring must be per the NEC code and it is recom-
mended that the installation be inspected to ensure com-
pliance with all applicable codes.
Refer to Figure 5 on page 3 for component locations.
