Remotelock 6iM - Resortlock RL4000M - How to Fit to an existing mortice
Please use these instructions in conjunction with the enclosed installation instructions.
STEP 1
Existing mortice must be
backset at least 60mm and
52mm between centres.
Backset is the distance
from door edge to the
centre of the spindle.
12mm diameter
hole
template
STEP 2
Remove the existing mortice
and spindle. Fit a 54mm
diameter drilling template
and drill through the door.
Remove template and place the
black rubber gasket over the
hole. Mark the position of the
upper hole and drill a 12mm
hole through the door
STEP 3
Insert the mortice but do not
push all the way in. Offer up
the keypad and thread the
connector cable through the hole.
You might need to create a notch
to the 54mm hole to enable the
cable to pass through. Carefully
push the mortice all the way in
and make sure that the cable is
not damaged or trapped.
