Remotelock BG (3i) and Euro din mortice
installation instructions. This shows how to
install using a 60mm backset mortice latch
rather than using the included spring latches.
Using the existing mortice provides additional
levels of security.
Please also refer to the enclosed installation
guide.
3. Remove the spindle, keyed cylinder and
mortice from the door.
6. Tape the drilling template so that the line
of the latch is centred with the spindle hole.
Using pins, mark the 16mm & 10mm holes.
1. Remove existing knob or lever handle
from the door.

4. For the mortice to be compatible it must
have a hole below the square spindle hole.
This is a euro standard but some UK
mortices may not have this.
7. Drill a 54mmm diamater hole through the
spindle hole.
2. Check that the backset distance is at
least 50mm, in this instance it is 60mm. If
in doubt, tape the template to the door and
make sure the lock will clear the door stops.
5. Apply masking tape to the door and draw
a horizontal and vertical line through the
centre of the spindle hole.
8. Drill the 16mm and 10mm holes through
the door.
