User Manual 5 Electrical Connection 5.3.1.1 Connecting to the Device with RS485 Port Use an RS485 shielded twisted pair (STP) to connect any RS485 port of the local controller and the RS485 communication terminal of the PCS. Otherwise, lethal electric shock may occur in case of fault; and the device may be damaged due to lightning. Step 1 Strip the protection layer and insulation layer of the 1.5~4mm /12AWG~15AWG grounding cable by specific length, as shown in the figure below. -
