NOTE: When installing the UPS using tower feet, place them 70mm (2.75”) from the ends of the UPS. 3. Connecting the UPS Step 1: UPS input connection Plug the UPS into a two-pole, three-wire, grounded power receptacle only. Do not use extension cords.
Step 4: Network connection Network/Fax/Phone surge port Connect a modem/phone/fax line into surge-protected “IN” RJ-11 connector and another modem/fax/phone line cable to the “OUT” RJ-11 connector. Step 5: Disable and enable EPO function This UPS is equipped with Emergency Power Off (EPO) function. The UPS default configuration ships with Pin 1 and Pin 2 closed (a plate covers Pin 1 and Pin 2) for UPS normal operation.
3. Battery Replacement When the icons are flashing in the LCD display and an audible alarm sounds every 2 seconds, the batteries need replacing. Contact your reseller or service provider for the proper replacement batteries. The battery can be swapped without powering off the UPS off or disconnecting the load.
4. Operations 4.1 Button Operation Button Function ON/MUTE Button Ø Turn on the UPS: Press and hold ON/Mute button for at least 2 seconds to turn on the UPS. Ø Mute the alarm: After the UPS is turned on in battery mode, press and hold this button for at least 3 seconds to disable or enable the alarm system.
