  • Page 17 ➢ Inverter with smart loads Item Description series GF1 series off-grid inverter supports a grid connection of a inverter photovoltaic system. PV modules PV string is composed of series connected PV panels. GF1 series inverter should be coupled with lithium-ion/ lead- acid battery.
  • Page 18 3.5 Working Mode This series inverter provides three operating modes: ECO Mode, Battery First mode and TOU mode. Customer can configure the work modes via LIVOLTEK APP or the LCD display for based on different requirements. Work Modes Description ECO Mode (self-use) is suitable to maximize the solar energy usage and minimize the grid import.

  • Page 29 6 Electrical Connection This chapter mainly describes the cable connections of the system. Prior to any electrical connections, keep in mind that the inverter has dual power supplies.   • Page 31 6.2 Electrical Connection Diagram ⚫ The inverter support lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries connection. Customers shall notice the specific difference of wiring method to the inverter. The lithium battery connection is taken for an example below. ➢ Electrical Connection (with a diesel generator)
  • Page 32 ➢ Electrical Connection (with smart loads) 6.3 PE Connection (mandatory) ⚫ Before any electrical connection, make sure that the inverter is free from the PV panels and the utility grid in case of electrical shocks. ⚫ Connect the PE cable to the outer plate of the inverter and ensure that the PE cable is securely connected to prevent electrical shocks.

  • Page 35 ➢ Wiring Connection Procedure: Step 1: Remove the waterproof lid from the Wi-Fi port. Step 2: Insert the Wi-Fi logger into the Wi-Fi port. Slightly shake it by hand to determine whether it is installed firmly. Step 3: Build the connection between the inverter and router. Please refer to the Pocket Wi-Fi user manual to configure the WLAN.

  • Page 39 6.7 PV Connection Danger of electric shock! ⚫ The PV array will generate lethal high voltage once exposed to sunlight. Ensure all cables are voltage-free before performing electrical operations. ⚫ Do not connect the AC circuit breaker before finishing electrical connection.
  • Page 40 Wiring procedure: Step 1: Strip the cable insulation for 6~8mm. Step 2: Connect the red (black) wire to the positive (negative) PV pin terminal, and crimp them. Step 3: Insert the crimped positive and negative power cables into the corresponding connectors until a “click” sound is heard. Step 4: Tighten the locking nuts on the positive and negative connectors.
